Privacy Policy

GetRecruited (“we”, “us”) operates getrecruited.cc, a paid product that walks high school athletes through the college recruiting process. This policy covers everything on getrecruited.cc and the GetRecruited app.

You give us this information directly when you sign up and use the app:

• Name, gender, sport, graduation year, and high school
• Email address
• Any data you enter as you work through the playbook — checklist progress, notes, target school list, scorecard ratings, and academic or athletic benchmarks you choose to enter
• Payment information, processed through Stripe (we don't see or store full card details)

We also collect basic usage data automatically — pages you visit, links you click, browser type — through Google Analytics. We review this data in aggregate to understand how the product is used.

• To personalize your playbook to your sport, grad year, and recruiting timeline
• To save your progress and target list across devices
• To process your one-time payment and confirm access
• To send you the sign-in emails you need to access your account
• To understand how the product is used, in aggregate, so we can improve it

We don't sell your data, and we don't share it with college coaches, recruiting services, or marketing networks.

We use a small number of vendors to run the service. Each only gets the data they need to do their job:

• Supabase — stores your account, profile, and progress; sends the sign-in email you receive when you authenticate
• Stripe — processes your payment
• Resend — delivers app-originated email (such as support replies and contact-form messages)
• Google Analytics — measures site usage in aggregate
• Cloudflare — serves the site and protects against abuse

We use a session cookie from Supabase to keep you signed in. Google Analytics sets its own cookies to measure traffic. We don't use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

We don't currently respond to browser Do Not Track signals.

You can:

• Access your data. Most of your profile and progress are visible in the app. For a full export of everything we hold, use the export option below.
• Change your email. From the Account section of your profile.
• Delete your account. From the Danger zone of your profile. This permanently erases your profile, plan, target list, and notes from our database. Payment records in our database are de-linked from your account but kept for accounting; Stripe also retains its own payment records under its policy.
• Export your data. Email [email protected] and we'll send you everything we have on file.

We keep your account, profile, and progress data while your account is active. If you delete your account, we erase that data immediately.

We retain payment records (with your account de-linked) for as long as we need them for accounting and tax purposes — typically up to ten years, depending on the jurisdiction. Stripe retains its own payment records under its own policy.

Aggregate usage data collected through Google Analytics is retained per Google's default retention settings.

GetRecruited is operated from Portugal. Most of our vendors (Stripe, Google Analytics, Resend, Cloudflare, and Supabase's default infrastructure) are based in or use the United States. By using GetRecruited, you understand that your data is transferred to and processed in the United States and other countries where our vendors operate.

For users in the EU, UK, and other regions with data-protection rules, our vendors rely on standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards for these transfers.

GetRecruited is intended for users 13 and older. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you believe your child under 13 has given us information, email [email protected] and we'll delete it.

California residents have the right to know what personal information we have, request deletion of it, and not be discriminated against for exercising those rights. The mechanisms above (in-app deletion, email request) are how you exercise them. We do not sell personal information.

Our legal basis for processing your data is the contract you enter into when you sign up — we need this data to deliver the service you paid for. You have the right to access, correct, delete, and port your data, and to object to processing. To exercise these rights, email [email protected].

Account access is gated by emailed sign-in links rather than passwords, so there's no password for someone to steal. Data in transit is encrypted via TLS. Our infrastructure providers (Supabase, Stripe, Cloudflare) apply their own at-rest encryption and security practices. We can't guarantee perfect security, but we follow industry-standard practices and rely on reputable vendors.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the effective date at the top. If the change is significant, we'll email registered users. If you keep using GetRecruited after we publish an update, the new version applies to you.
